After releasing a major new version of their flagship iOS offering, the people at tap tap tap have updated Camera+ yet again, this time to support the low-light improvements on the iPhone 5.

Camera+ version 3.5.1 now supports the same low-light sensitivity as the native Camera app in iOS 6 on the iPhone 5, according to tap tap tap.

For amateurs, “this just means you can take photos with less light than ever before.” For those who are better acquainted with camera terminology, this means “your ISO can now go up to 3200 (vs 800 before – that’s 4 times MORE POWER). This will only kick in if it's really dark,” according to the release notes.

Other additions include higher quality photos for Facebook sharing and the usual bag of fixes.

The developers would also like to stress that they’ve made a few alterations to the way Camera+ saves photos to the iPhone’s Camera Roll.

Tap tap tap explains that Camera+ 3.5.1 addresses the issues some of users were experiencing saving to the Camera Roll in iOS 6.

“If you deny access to your Photos, we’re unable to save to your Camera Roll,” says the company. “We’ve now made the error message clearer, but unfortunately we can’t make the prompt for permission clearer at this time,” tap tap tap adds.

Camera+ is quite arguably the most popular camera application in the iTunes App Store, thanks to its endless offerings in terms of editing features.

Not only does it support the iPhone 5’s low-lighting abilities, it also features a native interface for the 4-inch display of the device.

And, thanks to the new iCloud sync, Camera+ now automatically syncs your Lightbox photos between all of your devices. Camera+ now requires iOS 5 as a minimum spec to run on any iDevice.
