Developers admit to pondering making the update a paid one

Tap tap tap has released Camera+ version 4.2 in the App Store, adding some new features and a much needed fix for burst-mode shooting. The update is free to download for existing users, though the developers say they considered charging for it.

Camera+ is arguably one of the best iOS photography apps money can buy. Updated on a regular basis, the software includes an extensive array of image manipulation tools, offering results that sometimes dwarf even desktop-grade photo editing apps.

Developer tap tap tap was recently faced with having to address a burst-mode shooting bug. During coding, they decided to go the extra mile and “boost burst-mode snaps to full-resolution on devices that could handle it (like the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, and the unapologetically poorly-selling iPhone 5c).”

I don’t know how Apple allows their changelogs to come out the way they do, but I’m not complaining. They're like comedy acts.

The new version also includes a new effects pack with filters from Apple’s standard Camera and Photo apps.
