iOS developers can once again check out their apps’ activity in the App Store, thanks to Apple’s move to switch iTunes Connect back on. One company in particular is keen to show just how well their app has done during the holiday season.

TapTapTap has provided the folks at MacRumors with exclusive details of the sales of their Camera+ app from the Christmas weekend.

According to the report, Camera+ reached 78,995 downloads on Christmas Day alone.

MacRumors quantifies, noting that this represents $54,743 for the developer after Apple's 30% cut.

Developer tap tap tap has recently re-introduced Camera+ in the App Store, following a rejection by Apple over a function that remapped the iPhone's volume button to trigger the camera shutter.

A powerful photography application for iOS devices, Camera+ is now back with a host of new features, as well as a more attractive price.

In addition to the advanced zooming, focus, and lighting capabilities, the app boasts a completely revamped shooting preferences panel, timer and burst shooting modes, and new Cyanotype, Tailfins, and Depth of Field effects (complete with sliders to adjust effect amount).

Users can now purchase additional effects directly from within the app (via in-app purchase).

The first pack is the "I ♥ Analog" effects pack, which contains the Diana, Silver Gelatin, Helios, Contessa, Nostalgia, Expired, XPRO C-41, Pinhole, and Chromogenic effects.

Camera + 2.0 also has new borders, including Light Mat, Dark Mat, Round White, Round Black, Offset, Light Grit, Dark Grit, Viewfinder, Old-TImey, Film, and Sprockets.

In related news, a similar application that boldly used the iPhone’s volume buttons to activate the camera shutter had been available on the App Store for two weeks, but has now been rejected by Apple. Learn more here.
