Developer City State Entertainment is ready to show off the technology that will allow its upcoming Camelot Unchained to deliver 10,000-player battles, even if the development process is still in the early stages.

An update on the Kickstarter crowd funding service shows footage taken from the current version of the game that includes 2,000 players, with the team using constant character loading to simulate actual game conditions.

The animation of Camelot Unchained is still pretty rough, but there’s plenty of time to improve it after the core MMO mechanics are locked down.

The game is more than half way to its funding goal with more than 20 days to go on Kickstarter.

Mark Jacobs, the leading developer working on Camelot Unchained, has previously worked on Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online.
