The development team at City Entertainment announces that its upcoming Camelot Unchained is at the moment in internal testing and that the process is progressing better than initially expected.

Mark Jacobs, the leader of the company, says on an official update for Kickstarter backers that, “This was an early test, but our server performance was right in line where it needs to be to support the large-scale battles that are at the core of Camelot Unchained. However, scale isn’t just about server performance, of course, so we’re encouraged that client performance was also in line with our expectations, especially given the non-optimized state of our engine.”

The developer says that in 24 hours, City Interactive launches two full stress tests for both the game client and the servers, with 407 connections logged in at once and no registered crashes, despite the fact that some were running more than one version of the game on their machines.

Camelot Unchained is an ambitious MMO project that aims to deliver large scale battles and complex mechanics, which means that it requires a solid connection with the server in order to keep the experience of the gamer as smooth as possible.

Jacobs adds, “Because we have made such great progress so far, I will not require an NDA that keeps Internal Test participants from sharing their experiences with the other Founders and Builders.”

This Means that all those who backed Camelot Unchained via Kickstarter will be able to soon find out more information about the MMO.

The developer says that it might bring back a Non-Disclosure Agreement and enforce it in the coming months in order to make sure that ideas that are not fully developed are not shown to the public before they are ready.

More stress tests for the MMO are expected to take place in the coming months.

Camelot Unchained was funded by its fans and is expected to be launched at some point in 2015.
