There's little need for an introduction for Cambridge SoundWorks as they are present in almost any home across the world with their gear, from speakers to cables or headphones and the like. Cambridge SoundWorks have grown quite a tradition with offering excellent products at very affordable prices that have drawn a lot of customers into buying their gear and enjoying serious multimedia in great conditions.
It's now time to introduce the second edition of the Cambridge SoundWorks Newton loudspeakers, developed for seamless integration in home theater systems and offering even more advanced technology, a more elegant appearance for more discerning customers and by all means the same sonic performance that has made the Newton series gather its deserved prestige.
The Newton II series comprises 5 new speakers in elegant midnight black and cherry finishes, for impeccable looks and effortless integration in any home dcor. The series boasts three amazing bookshelf monitors from fairly large dimensions down to the tiniest cubes that will simply fit anywhere in your room, a stupendous surround unit running with a serious 3-way 4-driver array and a bass reflex heavily-loaded center channel unit.
The midrange drivers are now made from woven Kevlar and sport lighter cones that offer a faster response with enhanced efficiency adding natural sparkle to the vocal response while providing for a brighter, more vivacious soundstage articulation. The tweeters themselves have been re-engineered and are now running on aluminium domes powered by neodymium magnets for better performance with complex, high-def tracks like SACD or DVD-Audio.
One excellent addition to the Newton speakers in the second edition is the massive bass reflex ports in the center channel unit and in the largest bookshelf loudspeaker; they have been clearly engineered for in-cabinet installation as well, thus further expanding your range of options as far as acoustically setting up your room is concerned. Each speaker comes with a removable sober cloth front grille. Prices for the series start around $350.
