14 DAY TRIAL // Calligra 2.4.2, an integrated suite of applications for office, creative and management needs, has been released on May 30th.
According to the Calligra team, the office suite has been in development for almost one year and a half, and they intend to bring major updates once every four months. Among the highlights of Caligra 2.4.2, we can mention:
· Speed improvement on lay-outing large documents have been added; · Image effects ‘grayscale’ and ‘mono’ have been fixed; · Saving of patterns has been fixed; · Painting artefacts after snapping has been repaired; · Adding word to dictionary has been fixed; · Masterpage background is now used correctly; · Loading of layer name from GIMP files having bad encoding has been fixed; · All standard 2D chart types can be loaded and displayed now; · Saving of all chart types above work properly.
The current version of Calligra also runs on mobile platforms, named: Calligra Mobile and Calligra Active. Download Calligra 2.4.2 / 2.5 Alpha right now from Softpedia. Keep in mind that the Alpha version is not stable and should not be installed on production machines.
