Zack Snyder’s much anticipated “Man of Steel” sequel, tentatively called “Batman vs. Superman,” has added 3 new actors to its already impressive cast. This time, I’m not playing pranks on you, like I did with Michael Cera playing The Riddler. I promise.

Deadline confirms that Callan Mulvey, who recently appeared in “300: Rise of an Empire,” which Zack Snyder produced, is officially on board the sequel. He was initially said to be in talks for the role of Lex Luthor, which eventually went to Jesse Eisenberg.

Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto, from “The Wolverine,” have also signed their names on the dotted line and will appear in the film. The report doesn’t say who they’re playing, but it notes that they are “new characters.”

The three will join an already impressive cast comprised of Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne, and newcomers Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and the aforementioned Eisenberg.

“Batman vs. Superman” is believed to serve as the first brick in the foundation of the Justice League universe, a theory supported by the appearance of Batman and Wonder Woman (Gadot) alongside the reinvented Superman.

However, I must note, fans aren’t really that pleased with the direction Snyder seems to be taking the story. They already raised strong objections to the fact that he made Superman into a killer at the end of the first film, and were super riled by Affleck and Gadot’s casting, whom they deemed the worst possible alternatives for the roles they landed.

To those of you wondering just how many superheroes Snyder plans on cramming in one single movie, with these 3 additions, the answer is obvious: quite a lot.
