Activision has finally confirmed that it’s going to release the Content Collection #1 DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the PC platform next month, after already releasing it for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.

Modern Warfare 3 has been on the receiving end of quite a lot of “content drops” as Activision has tasked its internal studios with creating new maps and experiences for the first-person shooter throughout the year.

These new things were launched each month for Call of Duty Elite premium subscribers on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but also as part of a Content Collection, which appeared in March for the Xbox 360 and in April for PS3 users.

Now, after a lengthy wait, PC owners of Modern Warfare 3 can finally get to enjoy this DLC pack, as Activision has confirmed that on May 8, they’ll be able to purchase the Content Collection #1 for their game.

“Armed with just this one content pack, players can choose between heading to a militarized Central Park in “Liberation,” destroying scenic vistas in a seaside Italian getaway in “Piazza,” raining glass on New York passersby from 70-stories-up in “Overwatch,” and battling beside a downed Air Force One in “Black Box.” As if that breadth of multiplayer variety wasn’t enough, fans of Special Ops can hop aboard snowmobiles to infiltrate a diamond mine in “Black Ice” or head to India, where “Negotiator” will leave the fate of hostages in their hands,” Activision said about this DLC.

Besides the multiplayer and Spec Ops maps included in the DLC, Activision is continuing its content drops on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms, so you can expect a second Content Collection to appear in the next few months.

Until then, PC owners of Modern Warfare 3 will have to save up $15/€15, which is the price for the first DLC pack.
