Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Used in North Korean Propaganda

A propaganda video from the state of North Korea is using footage lifted from the shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to show New York burning and suggest that the United States might be attacked once more in the coming years.

The entire clip is pretty surreal, mixing obvious computer-generated footage of both missiles, presumably nuclear tipped, and space shuttles of North Korean design with an instrumental rendition of We Are the World.

The text accompanying the Modern Warfare images states: “Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing. It seems that the nest of wickedness is ablaze with the fire started by itself.”

The video game related footage starts around 2:09.

North Korea is currently testing missiles and threatening another nuclear test to show its strength and inspire the population to resist the imperialist tendencies of the United States.
