Activision has issued a statement over the possibility of seeing its recently revealed Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Nintendo Wii U platform, confirming that, as of yet, it's not ready to share any details about the game's other platforms.

Call of Duty: Ghosts was revealed to the world yesterday through a teaser trailer, and plenty of details were shared by publisher Activision.

The game is set to appear for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, although Activision also promised that the title would be released onto next-generation platforms, even if it didn't say on which ones.

According to an Activision statement sent to the Examiner, the company doesn't have "any news for the Wii U at this time, as we aren’t dating next generation platforms yet."

It's interesting to see that Activision catalogs the Wii U as a next-gen platform, alongside Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's next Xbox.

Last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was also released for the Nintendo Wii U.
