In order to show off the drastic increase in visual fidelity thanks to the next-generation engine implemented in Call of Duty: Ghosts, Activision has just posted a comparison video that shows off various character models in the old Modern Warfare 3 game and in the new Ghosts.

Infinity Ward, the creator of the Call of Duty series and its spinoff, Modern Warfare, has been working on the next-generation engine for the franchise for some time and, with Call of Duty: Ghosts, it wants to show off the power on new consoles like Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

Fans got to see the reveal trailer, a behind the scenes video, and a few screenshots yesterday, and now a special video has appeared that compares character models from Modern Warfare 3 to the ones in Ghosts.

As you can see above, there's been a drastic increase in quality, and Infinity ward has developed lots of impressive technologies that take advantage of more powerful hardware offered by new consoles.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is out on November 5 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, as well as for PS4 and Xbox One at a later point in time.
