A brand new report has surfaced online concerning the surprising 6GB of RAM requirement for Call of Duty: Ghosts, confirming that it has a fatal error when users try to start it up with less than 6GB but, even more surprisingly, the title only uses 2GB of RAM at most when it's actually running.

Call of Duty: Ghosts appears today, November 5, across the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U consoles, and later this month for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

On the PC, the game had some pretty surprising requirements, including a minimum of 6GB of RAM.

What's more, according to a Guru3D forum member, the game even displays a fatal error when you try to start it on a computer with less than 6GB of RAM.

While the warning would be valid if Ghosts was such a resource-hungry game, in practice the game consumes around 1.5GB to 2GB of RAM, according to stats recorded by users.

As of yet, developer Infinity Ward hasn't commented on this RAM issue for its latest game.
