Gamers might need to prepare for a worldwide supply bottleneck

Retailer GAME says that at the moment the only way to guarantee that a player gets access to the Xbox One Day One edition on launch day is to pre-order the bundle, which includes the console and the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The Prestige Edition has a hefty price tag, but some fans of the game and the coming hardware might be willing to pay it in order to get access to them as soon as they are available.

This might be a sign that supply for the Xbox One is becoming stretched again and that soon other retail chains will be unable to guarantee a day one delivery for the platform.

Already Sony is no longer guaranteeing that the PlayStation 4 will be delivered to players on launch day.

Both devices are set to be released in November of this year.
