Video game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision announce that they will offer an official reveal for the multiplayer side of Call of Duty: Ghosts on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:30 Pacific Daylight Time/2:30 PM Easter Daylight Time.

Since Ghosts was revealed, the two companies have been rather unwilling to talk about how they plan to evolve the core multiplayer experience, which is key to the success of the franchise.

Infinity Ward has promised that longtime fans will be satisfied with the changes it is implementing, while newcomers will have a chance to compete against veterans.

Little is known at the moment about the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Ghosts, which will abandon the storylines seen in Black Ops.

The game will be launched on home console and the PC on November 5 worldwide.
