Call of Duty: Ghosts, the first-person shooter from developer Infinity Ward and publisher Sony, remains at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart for the second full week in a row, with the Xbox 360 version of the game delivering the bulk of its sales.

The game continues to deliver a solid multiplayer experience that appeals to its long-term fans and makes it a solid candidate for the biggest seller of 2013 for the entire industry.

FIFA 14, the football simulation from EA Sports, is in second place, the same as last week, according to data coming from UKIE.

For the week that ended on December 7, Battlefield 4, the shooter from DICE and Electronic Arts, remains on the final position of the podium as the development team promises that it will fix all current problems with the game before it works on a full sequel or on more DLC for it.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the open themed pirate-focused title from Ubisoft, manages to crawl up one place in order to reach fourth and is followed by another upward mobile title, Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar and Take two.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is unwilling to let go of its own position at six, and seventh place belongs to Just Dance 2014 for the older Wii.

Gran Turismo 6, from Polyphony Digital and Sony, is the first new game to enter the United Kingdom top ten, allowing gamers the chance to play with 1,200 cars that can race on 70 different track configurations.

The biggest decline of the seven-day period is linked to Killzone: Shadow Fall, the first-person shooter from Guerrilla Games that serves to show off the computing power of the new PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Batman: Arkham Origins closes down the UK top ten, on the same position it had during the previous week.
