Mark Rubin, the leading producer working on Call of Duty: Ghosts, is ready to confirm the rumors that the coming shooter will run at 1080p upscaled from 720p on the Xbox One and at native 1080p resolution on the PlayStation 4.

He states in a Twitter message that, "We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both. Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can’t wait for next week's launch."

The confirmation might add fuel to the rumors that the PlayStation 4 is significantly more powerful in terms of pure hardware than the Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the new first-person shooter from developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision and many in the industry view it as crucial to the initial sales of the next generation of consoles.
