The new first-person shooter is still a collaborative effort

Call of Duty: Ghosts, the next installment in the hugely popular first-person shooter series is being developed not just by Infinity Ward, the creator of the franchise, but also by NeverSoft and Raven Software.

The Call of Duty series owned by Activision is being developed by a variety of internal studios, ranging from franchise creators Infinity Ward, to Treyarch and many others.

Now, after hearing that this year's Call of Duty: Ghosts is being made by Infinity Ward and that Sledgehammer Games won't be collaborating with the studio, it's apparently been confirmed via the franchise's YouTube page that two other teams are working on the title, in the form of NeverSoft and Raven Software.

NeverSoft was recently turned into a Call of Duty studio by Activision last year and Raven has collaborated on the series for quite some time by helping design multiplayer maps and other such things.

As of yet, it's unclear how the new studios are helping the main developer, Infinity Ward, with Call of Duty: Ghosts.
