Eric Biessman, a senior creative director at Infinity Ward, says that his team plans to deliver a wide variety of maps for the multiplayer side of Call of Duty: Ghosts in order to make sure that all gamers find an experience they like.

The developer tells VG247 that, “some maps like Whiteout and some we’re not talking about yet that are on the larger scale. You’ll see some like Strikezone a very close map, so it’s all about that quicker, ‘Where am I going? What am I going to do here?’”

Infinity Ward wants to make sure that Ghosts appeal to long-term fans of the franchise, but also draws in new players, who need smaller maps to acquaint themselves with the core mechanics.

The new Call of Duty will be out on November 5 everywhere for the PC and current-gen consoles and versions for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 are also in development.
