Gamers will get access to four new maps and the new Ripper weapon

Video game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision are announcing that gamers who are enjoying Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PlayStation 4, the PC or the PS3 will be able to get access to the Devastation downloadable content pack on May 8, using digital distribution services.

Those who get the DLC will be able to get four new maps on which to kill their enemies as well as an entirely new weapon, the Ripper, and the new content also includes an entirely new episode linked to the Extinction game mode, which introduces the fearsome Kraken enemy.

At the same time players can also play as an against the Predator.

The DLC pack is already available on the Xbox One and the 360 from Microsoft.

Devastation has been well received by the community and Infinity Ward is at the moment working on two other packages for the game, which should be launched in the coming months, with a period of exclusivity for Microsoft consoles.

An entirely new Call of Duty titles is now in the works at Sledgehammer Games and the team has promised that it is creating an experience that will introduce some innovative elements to the classic first person shooter franchise.
