Call of Duty: Ghosts, the first-person shooter from developer Infinity Wars and publisher Activision, is once again at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart, just as titles linked to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 fail to perform well.

FIFA 14, the football simulation from EA Sports, continues to stay in second place and will probably take the lead during the first few months of 2014.

For the week ending on December 14, according to data from UKIE, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes from Warner Bros. Interactive has managed to climb up three positions in order to reach the final place of the podium.

Battlefield 4, the shooter from DICE and Electronic Arts, has lost one position to settle in fourth, which might be a sign that the community and potential buyers are no longer willing to forgive the two companies for the problems that affect the game and which patches have failed to solve.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the open world pirate-themed experience from Ubisoft, is in fifth, also sliding down one place and is followed by Just Dance 2014, another Ubisoft game, which has also climbed up the chart.

Need for Speed: Rivals, the racing title from Electronic Arts, is in seventh, making a solid comeback coming from 11, and Grand Theft Auto V seems to also be headed out of the top ten after landing in eight this week.

WWE 2K14, from 2K Sports, is in ninth, coming from 14, and Gran Turismo 6, from Polyphony Digital and Sony, managed to close down the United Kingdom top ten despite being excusive to the PlayStation 3.

Killzone: Shadow Fall, from Guerrilla Games and Sony, is the first next-gen title, in the 11th place.

The fact that games for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 fail to generate huge sales might be a problem for the long-term success of the devices.
