Video game publisher Activision and hardware maker Nintendo officially announce that a Wii U version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to launch on the home console on November 5 of this year, at the same time as versions for other platforms.
The official Nintendo Twitter feed states, "On 11/5, @CallofDuty: Ghosts arrives on #WiiU with a new world, story, & powerful next-gen engine. #CODGhosts pic.twitter.com/C9vMFjrwAg."
At the same time, Eric Hirshberg, the chief executive officer of Activision Publishing, says that his company is interested in delivering its high-profile games on the Wii U in the near future.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will take players to the future after an unnamed enemy has dealt a devastating blow to the United States.
Players will be members of a unique fighting force that aims to strike back with innovative tactics and weapons.
