Treyarch has finally decided to release a patch for the Nintendo Wii version of Call of Duty: Black Ops, fixing plenty of issues encountered by players, but declined to comment on whether or not the First Strike map pack is going to arrive on the platform.

Treyarch has been supporting its Call of Duty: Black Ops title on the large platforms like the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, but the Nintendo Wii version hasn't really received much love.

Now, the studio is trying to make amends, and has released a hefty patch for the Wii version of Black Ops, bringing a big amount of fixes to the title.

Check out some of the most important changes in the new Black Ops Wii update below.

- Fixed issue where players were taking damage from falls with Light Weight Pro equipped
- Fixed an issue where leader board would go into hang state if the user has 50+ allies
- Enemy turrets now glow when the hacker pro perk is equipped
- Team mates who are in your party will show up as blue on your mini map
- Improvements made in the matchmaking service
- Prevention of exploit that allowed players to keep custom classes and killstreaks after prestige.
- Flak Jacket Pro will now protect against napalm strikes
- Contracts will now reset when a player prestiges
- Melee attack radius has been optimized
- Spawn points have been adjusted in Havana - this should prevent the spawn killing in the Demolition game type
- Player can no longer load the thunder gun manually - Matches PS360 functionality
- Zombies Melee damage has been adjusted to match PS360 behavior
- Fixed issue where the player can complete "The Shortcut" challenge by climbing down a tall ladder
- Improved Zombie pathing. Zombies should no longer switch directions randomly, teleport through floors, walls, etc.
- Fix for the 3 weapon exploit when using the last grenade
- Implemented a way to create a new private party while in a public lobby for when the lobby leader has disbanded the private party.
- Fix to prevent a player from re-rolling the SAM or Sentry drops
- Resolved issues where the player could leave the following maps: Havana, Summit, Hanoi
- Second Chance - players that put an enemy into Second Chance are now credited for a full kill once that enemy dies. If another player kills the enemy while the enemy is in Second Chance, they will get assist credit.

Treyarch declined to talk about the release of any new content for the Wii version of Black Ops, specifically the First Strike map pack which was already released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and is getting ready to be launched on the PC.

"Many people are also asking about DLC on the Wii," Treyarch said on the game's official forums. "There is still no information on any potential DLC for the Wii, but we will be sure to update this space once there is. Thank you for your patience."

The update for Call of Duty: Black Ops on the Wii is going to be downloaded automatically when you boot up the multiplayer.

The PC community hasn't been getting as good of treatment as the PS3 and 360 versions of the game. I don't think they have received the latest patch yet but at least they know they are getting DLC, meanwhile Wii gamers are left in the dark.

the wii is a system too! I know the graphics are bad but I love the control and gameplay better than the other systems. The pc got the map pack on march 25th and still no wii. AND THEN THERE WAS ONE. Ha ha. Sorry for that. But i believe that the wii will get the map pack sometime in April and if we dont', i won't play black ops becaus we didn't get 5 or DOA either. The maps are getting boring and we want more excuses to play this amazing game, but unfortunely their running thin. The new maps in first strike look and feel amazing, they each have something unique about them and work well on one spific gametype. Treyarch, i know you won't hear this but I hope someone will. The wii loves black ops and their are very hardcore gamers on black ops for the wii. GIVE US DLC!

Treyarch is waiting for Activision to reimburse Nintendo due to the Black Ops disks that broke some peoples wii's. They have the map completed and we're just waiting for Activision to man up.
