Call of Duty: Black Ops, one of the most expected titles of the year, has just received its minimum PC requirements courtesy of its Direct2Drive page.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to become one of the year's biggest selling titles, already surpassing the massive pre-order numbers of its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that went on to sell 20 million copies around the world.

The game will appear on the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii.

But while console owners didn't worry about the game, PC gamers have been eagerly awaiting the official system requirements in order to see if their rig can handle the new Call of Duty shooter.

The PC specifications are finally in, and they are pretty reasonable, at least for any gamer that upgraded his PC in the last few years.

Minimum System Requirements:

- OS: Windows Vista/XP/7 - Processor: Intel Core2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750 or better - Memory: 2GB - HDD: 12GB - Video: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT/ATI Radeon X1950Pro or better - Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible - DirectX: 9.0c

The PC version will come with quite a few advantages as opposed to the console ones, including the option for dedicated servers, which the development studio, Treyarch, always backed during the whole creation process.

Besides that multiplayer feature, mod tools will also be released after the game's official launch, so that players can create their own multiplayer maps and try their hand at modifying the whole game in order to create new experiences.

Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on November 9 across the world, on the aforementioned platforms, and will be developed by Treyarch for the big consoles, and by n-Space for the Nintendo DS.

It will be published by Activision, which is extremely confident that Black Ops will outsell the massive success which was Modern Warfare 2.
