I haven't been able to complete a single match in multiplayer. Freezes and requires a manual shutdown of PS3. Un freakin believable.

I can't sprint or throw grenades but on every other game I have L3 and R2 work fine but with black ops I can't run or use my tomahawk or grenades. What a waste of money. Thanks treyarch

I'm having the exact same problem. I put MW2 back in, and I can run and throw as per normal, so I know it's not me or the controller. It's driving me crazy because it seems to be working for everyone else and this is the first report I've seen of someone having the same problem.

Im having the same problem. Mine was working just fine for the first week or so but now i cant sprint and when i throw a gernade i cant release it and it blows up in my hand. Not sure but sucks.

And about the XBOX i had one of those also and it wont even turn on.

yup, Same problem here. i find that if you try and throw a grenade you have to hit pause to let it go. but most of the time the target is already gone by the time you get it out of your hand. Not to mention just the time your standing there and not being able to sprint out of harms way. So very very annoying.

On the PS3. I can't get past the guard on the first level. I use the Melee as described but then it says "your actions caused your team to be killed". They are standing right next to me!!!! I tried shooting him, knifing him, melee then hide, melee then crouch, melee then lie on the floor, melee then run.... nothing works.
I tried different difficulty levels and even removing the game altogether and starting again... still not working!!. WTF.

I have PS3 and was experiencing Lag issues and disconnections 1oth Oct all evening. Also noticed Mic's in lobby not working. Overall unimpressed coming from MW2 this looks like major downgrade in graphics and perfomance. I thought Nuketown was a joke type cartoon map it's so badly drawn! Textures/effects audi and visual are weak and weapons are badly drawn, no "weight to the characters. (All on muliplayer....;) DrewsterX

Getting all of these problems. I wouldnt mind the others as much if it wasnt for the * freezing. I have to restart my PS3 at least 5 times within a single sitting. Its dispicable that such a highly anticipated game should have so many problems on release. If Treyarch had done an open beta before launch, we wouldnt have to deal with this crap. Its ruining the experience of, what is potentialy, a fantastic game.

freezing all the time and it takes me and my friends around 15 min to get a lobby then after one game the lobby closes and we have to wait another 15min to join a new game, sigh..

Im having all the same problems as above, very frustrating and annoying. Makes the game look very very bad. I played for a few hours the other day and I never properly finished one game, kept frezzing getting kicked, delays, then after it ends early it kicks you out of the party- Pure Shite- game is great but come on, Modern Warfare 2 was not were near as bad. Bring back Infinity Ward please

I've had almost all of these problems. I understand Xbox players pay to play which is why their console gets more attention, but to launch what was considered "The Biggest game of 2010" and have it be this glitchy is unacceptable. Is it any wonder that people look at Treyarch as producing games inferior to the once mighty Infinity Ward?

Tej, its the same on xbox mate, according to the leaderboards i have over 50000 kills, 35000 deaths and 4000 assists in 80 games.

The respawn system isn't very good, on all maps, not just the small ones. But it happens on nuketown and firing range the most.

I was in private chat, and the mic wasnt showing, dont know if you have to be in game chat for your mic to show.

At the end of a game, every time there is a killcam, it says "connection error", this doesnt happen if you are the host.

Knifing is definately like a lunge, and sometimes when you try to knife from point blank range, you still lunge and completely miss the enemy.

I know it isnt a glitch or a bug, but isnt it a bit ridiculous when you get nuketown 4 games in a row because you can vote on the previous map?

Once again, not a bug or glitch, just an annoyance that lots of gamers have pointed out. Wasting more than half a round (getting hitmarkers), person coming round the corner, killing you in three bullets. ;)

everygame i get in too glitches the first 10 seconds and freezes very bad... very frustrating to knife!!! players that r around u in team played matches also cause ur player to stutter and freeze. many times i see issues with terrain and textures, they jus look horrible and not realistic...

this game was poorly put together and almost seems like it was rushed for production ...

i was very disappointed in black ops after pre ordering the game and playing it the night it came out.

still today 3 days after the game release i keep giving it chances bc of my 86 dollars investment for the hardened edition. treyarch definitely should issue a recall on this horrible game. or perform an update to clear all those horrible graphics, glitches, and online play. the only kool thing about the online play is the 2 person co op online, and zombies. im sure infinity ward is laughing their asses off at this poorly created game. i would have honestly expected more from a freshmen in college on windows 95 pc to develop a better looking game...............

Treyarch is the one laughing. They blew mw2 sales out of the water. We just need to hope Treyarch sticks to their word and fixes all this stuff.

I have just been playing black ops and completed a level, next thing whilst autosaving was in progress the screen went White and the system crashed, I restarted the system and now the machine will not find any discs (games or dvd's) any ideas what this may be? My thoughts are Black Ops does not hold a candle to Medal Of Honor. Medal Of Honor is what is now at this time and day. Great weapons, the on line game puts Black Ops to shame. The only thing Black Ops has going for it , was the time it takes to beat the game. Black Ops was alot longer. But Medal Of Honor whith Dice has Black beat hands down. Black Ops was the same old Call Duty. They have to go modern weapons and they have got to use what is going on now. They allso have got to get better graphics. They should use Dice. In my opion Black Ops Did not even come close to making the grade. Thank You Sam

The reason why its so buggy is because they only tested fully on Xbox not ps3, and they put a lot of unnecessary crap in the game to make it overly complicated, another thing is that the graphics and character animation is * ! Infinity wards a better developer over all , even though mw2 had unpatch bugs. At least it looked good and it was fun for 1 whole year.

I think this just shows the superior gaming platform, Pc AND Ps3 have lots of glitches and lagging and Xbox (the superior one) runs smoothly with absolutely no lag or glitches.

black ops has been freezing while im in multiplayer, i have to restart my ps3 by the console and i want to know why it has been doing this.

the footsteps make no sound either! you can hear your own footsteps inconsistently (3 footsteps every 10 steps or something) but you cannot hear enemy footsteps, even with a headset.

story mode completely freezes and you have no choice but to shut down the PS3 because pressing buttons won't do anything

I am on my third purchase of the game and it still won't even play. I have restored default data twice as per sony's advice and it did load and let me play for 40 minutes, but as soon as I tried to go online it crashed and it is back to not even loading. Keeps telling me to clean the disk. My PS3 plays every other game and I have never had any issues before. Extremely frustrating and the game is going back to the shop till they fix these problems.

Oh, I have, but not any of the ones listed. I can't hear ANYTHING anyone says in the game. When firing a fixed MG I can't hear the rounds being fired. Very annoying, but no crashes.

Here's a thought: Don't try to rush your game just to make the 1 year anniversary of your last game. Don't release a game until it's finished. And sure as hell don't make the same mistake this time next year just because this game sold so well. You can bet all this profit was from ANTICIPATION of a great game, and definitely not because someone bought the game, decided it was amazing, and recommended it to all of their friends. 4/10 all around.

Yes, please please get that patch out soon. Also when entering into private matches say on zombie mode, I can hear one friends mic but not the others. Tried everything to sort this, not a mic problem either. I know lots of ppl that have gone back to MW2.

game freezes on ps3, i have to get up to manually shutdown/restart ps3. also spawned near enemies which is frustrating when there are four of them staring at you. the lag is probably as bad as the game freezing, i dont know if its frame rate issues or server issues, but they have to fix it, now.

Every time I try to play online I select find match when it says player match wager match and so on I select player match and then when I get to the screen that says core hardcore hardened and prestige they are all grey. When I try and play campaign it shows me the video that plays before the mission but as soon as the mission starts the screen either goes all white or all black and I have to turn my ps3 off

I haven't been able to have an enjoyable gaming evening with because of all the bugs in this game. Activision and Treyarch should be ashamed of theirselves for releasing such a terribly broken piece of software. I can't believe they didn't see these issues during their beta testing. Perhaps they did but didn't want to delay the release because they wanted to have the money rolling in. I think a class action suit should be filed to allow unhappy consumers to get a refund on this game. I learned one lesson, I will not be buying the next COD after the issues I have seen with this one.

Here are the bugs I have seen on my PS3: Lag due to performance issues, Communication issues with party members, voice echoing, connection issues, graphics are not as good as MW2, 5.1 surround sound is a joke. This has been a real disappointment after all the hype that was built up!

I wonder if they even bothered to test it before release.... after reading most of the reviews/complaints and of course bursting with frustration all i have to say is..thank you very much treyarch for pulling my pants down and spanking my * , hope my hard earned money makes you very happy.
ultimately it comes down to treyarch not really giving a hoot wether the game was finished/ready for release, all tht matters is profit, as punters we feel robbed, ripped off, and angry, to those who have wrked on this game at treyarch its already been a massive success, the sales figures prove this, they are under no obligation to fix any of these bugs, the money is already in the bank people, sure they'll make a couple of half arsed efforts to tidy the game up but nothing more.

i had an issue in campainge mode, not sure of the level, but you had to keep up with partner, and when i gave it gas, it made all the sounds but no, or very lttle movement onb screen, thus i couldnt keep up. That one has been fixed, now im unable to get through the infiltrate soviet lab, and confront the dr stiener, no matter what i do, i get spotted and slauhtered, so untill this one "fixes itself", im unable to finnish the game!

I must say Treyard created a terrible flaw within Black Ops's design and functionality. Maybe the company will not have a chance to read this comment but just for everyone's information, this game needs to be fixed, starting from scratch. That said, I had to reboot my PS3 24 times within 6 hours period, particularly when playing online. The graphics for single player cannot compare to the previous installment, which was made by Activision. Please fix these issues or come to get the game back, for free. I will even let you guys keep my 60 dollars. Thank you Treyarch for the horrible development of this game.

The frame rate is terrible makes the game look like a beta version...its pretty sad that infinity Ward had only a portion of there staff working on modern warfare 2 and treyarch had there whole staff on this and they did a half sorry job...get a patch out right away!!!!!!!!!

game freezes few times trough the day. Also there is a huge amount og lag in it. Cant proof it, but lagswitch is most likely in most cases. When with more than 2 people in a party its often a pain to join a server. It often splits youtr party up kicking half out of the lobby when the game starts.

Mine does the same thing. I cant finish two games without it telling me there a error or host lost, it really suck and needs to be fix. What a waste.

I cannot believe I gave any money whatsoever for this POS game. This fix it later BS shouldnt be allowed by these game creator companies. I can see bug issues on a PC because they are built differently but they could have at least beta'd the game on a PS3. The only thing that was good about the game was zombies and it ultimately crashed.It made my slim drive work OT anytime I played the game. I was booted from a Zombie lobby rejoined froze the system, the game loads the splash then blackscreens. I didnt just walk out of the woods. I have wiped the game out reinstalled still nothing. Have fun with my money!!!

out of no where my ps3 was glitching in the lobby by myself, the music kept restarting after 2 seconds of playing so i restarted and the game froze on a blank black screen. restarted once more and the game froze on main menu. and my ps3 itself made a loud popping sound, so i turned it off. let it sit for about 20 min and started back up once more it was fine after but wtf b0 is messing up also screwing over my ps3

the past few days i have not been able to run or throw grenades and im being placed in lobbies with nothing but foreigners unable to connect with friends. I thought the grenade and run issue may have been my controller messing up but when i changed games all buttons worked accordingly.

My symbol wont show, at all, when I put it on my gun, it shows my rank, same with my player card.

just did a system update as required on BLACK OPS now when starting up game it just freezes on initial start up , making game useless ..............

The PC version of Black Ops is experiencing all this and more. There was one day where my clan were playing and we were all really laggy and randomly we all teleported and some even got kick from our own server. Then when my founder tried to get back in he realized his levels reseted back to level 1 and so did mine. I quitted out and join back in and it was fine but my founders weren't. He even reinstalled the game and that didn't work.
He contacted treyarch and they refused to fix it so he got annoyed because he spent just over 800 hours on it.
Then he contacted activision seeing if they (making the last COD games) could do anything.
They also refused really rudely to.

This is just 1 of the many issues PC have and if you think that PS3 has more you are mistaken.

I have a ps3 and when a friend and I play zombies and we're in the middle of the game, it like freezes up for about a 30 seconds or more and then it will say "lost connection to host"
Also in zombies when trying to use the box it won't let you use it, the "press and hold square" does not pop up, and usually the game freezes for about a min.
Also in multiplayer while running in will freeze on and off for awhile.
It's getting quite rediculous
I don't like being in the middle of a game and then losing connection to the host.
Please fix these problems somehow!

I have a glitch. On capture the flag, when one of my teammates drops the enemy flag it comes up with (at the top right) my playercard saying I dropped the flag. I know this is a minor glitch, but it's a glitch out of a thousand.

when i puch find match on team deathmatch it says "joining game lobby" and then it wont find any matches

wtf every time i get to round 19 on zombies it freezes evry single time (its b.s im * )

when i try to sprint my main gun switches to secondary gun when i dont want it to is this a bug

everytime i play a team deathmatch or any match for that matter on the level firing range , my ps3 almost loads the bbar and then it stops loading. i even disconnected the ethernet cable and it did not promp me but i was able to go to XMB. This bug pisses me off because i spent 100$ on this game. cod = chunk of dump.

yeah same here when im playing online on zombies it freezes but its funny bcuz it only freezes when we get to high rounds like once it froze on round 20 and makes me restart the ps3 and when i played "five" it froze as soon as i got the winters howl

my disc is scratched its a very small scratch but it doesn't allow me to play the maps WMD and VILLA. can someone help

I have experienced controller issues. If I try to run, it shoots or changes my gun, and doesn other wild things. Its getting worse, I even tried new controllers and it doesn't help. I dont have this problem with my other call of duty games. Whats the problem?

Every SINGLE time I'm playing multiplayer , my PS3 freezes only on Firing Range . Almost as if one day it just didn't want me playing the map :@

I can only play 2 games before COD BO freezes on my loading pages, when playing online. This is RIDICULES. Is really turning me from COD period. Is there anyway to fix this other than unplug my ps3 every 10 min?
