The NPD Group has made public the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the first-person shooter from developer Treyarch and publisher Activision Blizzard, manages to sell 7.5 million units during the month of November in the United States.

According to Gamespot, the impressive number was delivered to players in 11 days, with launch taking place on November 13 and NPD tracking ending on November 24.

Halo 4, the shooter from 343 Industries and Microsoft, has managed to sell 3.2 million units in order to get the second place.

Assassin’s Creed 3, from Ubisoft, has reached a total of 2.9 million units sold.

PC sales and copies moved through digital distribution are not taken into account.

Despite the big sales numbers and the launch of the Nintendo Wii U, the United States video games industry failed to recover during November.
