There's also more interest in Elite and the Season Pass

Eric Hirshberg, the leader of the Activision Publishing division inside the video game publisher, reveals that the pre-order figures for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 first-person shooter are much better than those that have been registered for last year’s Modern Warfare 3.

The executive has not offered any clear figures, but it seems that Black Ops 2 is on track to become the biggest launch in the history of the company and the franchise it is part of.

Hirshberg also says that there seems to be more interest before launch in both the new incarnation of the Elite service and the new Season Pass that has been announced for the Call of Duty game.

Black Ops 2 makes a lot of changes to the core multiplayer formula of the series, including a new mode which allows players to pick ten perks and take them into battle.
