Activision has just rolled out a brand new patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the PlayStation 3 platform, resolving some of the lock-ups and freezes reported by owners of the game on that console, although it notes that not all issues have been eliminated

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 came out last week and, besides once again selling a huge amount of copies, it encountered a variety of issues across the PC, PS3, or Xbox 360 platforms.

Most of the problems were reported by PS3 owners, who experienced console lock-ups and freezes while playing the game.

Now, Activision has confirmed on its website that a new patch has been rolled out for Black Ops 2 on the PS3, designed to address some of the freezes encountered by players.

Sadly, it seems that not all issues have been solved, as Activision notes that some customers are still experiencing freezes after installing the patch.

Expect a new update to appear for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the PS3 soon. Until then, the new patch will be automatically installed once you start up the game.
