The recently unveiled multiplayer mode from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be playable at Gamescom 2012 next week and, for those who can’t go to the German gaming convention, footage will be streamed on a variety of online outlets.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
is one of the biggest games set to appear this year, so publisher Activision together with developer Treyarch have started hyping up its multiplayer mode at the beginning of the week.
Now, after presenting a special video
, Activision has confirmed that Black Ops 2’s competitive online mode will be playable at Gamescom 2012.
Starting with the convention’s first public day, on August 16, fans of the Call of Duty series can go to Activision’s booth and play Black Ops 2 against others on the Xbox 360, probably after enduring lengthy lines.
For those who can’t reach the German show, Activision is going to stream gameplay footage on the Call of Duty website and Facebook, as well as on Twitch TV and, in collaboration with Microsoft, on Xbox.com and on Xbox Live.
Gamescom 2012 kicks off on August 16 and ends on August 19.
