Developer Treyarch is getting ready to release a leaderboard fix for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, after a number of reports of lost progress for the multiplayer modes of the game.

The official Twitter account for the developer says, “Since this morning’s backend update, we’ve been made aware of leaderboard issues that some are having — we’re looking into it, stand by.”

It adds, “Currently working through server side issues re leaderboards. They’ll be re-enabled as soon as we’ve fixed the issue. Stand by.”

The developers have not made it clear whether all their progress will be restored when the Black Ops 2 fix is out or whether it is only designed to eliminate such problems in the future.

The success of the new Call of Duty depends on the multiplayer modes, so Treyarch is moving quickly to fix any issues that the community reports.
