The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision have surprised a lot of players with this week’s announcement of the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and the developers working on it are ready to offer gamers some more details about the core features.

Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, the two co-leaders of the studio, have taken to the official Twitter of the franchise in order to answer some questions from the fan community.

One of the biggest reveals is that gamers who play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be able to get access to the new Supply Drops that are being added to the shooter by playing the campaign and the cooperative modes.

The team states that they will be offered to the player after an evaluation that takes into account “time played and challenges completed. You can also earn them from campaign and co-op.”

The fact that the Supply Drops can be obtained in every game mode means that players who tend to stay out of multiplayer in Call of Duty because they cannot stay competitive might have more of a chance to keep up in the new title.

At the same time, Sledgehammer Games says that it will deliver a big range of both scorestreaks and modules for players to use and then customize their own but a full list will only be offered when the game is actually launched.

The studio also says that veterans of the series will also find an ”XP progression exists as you know it. Supply Drops, our loot system, adds even more rewards and customization options.”

Condrey also adds that gamers might also get special eSports camos to use in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, with the team eager to see the shooter adopted by major organizers for their big tournaments.

The multiplayer of the new title is built around the new exo-skeleton, which enables gamers to reach new areas in the levels, move out of the way of projectiles and execute powerful attacks from above.

The developers are also introducing a new Pick 13 structure for loadouts and more personalization options that can be shown off in an innovative lobby system.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out on November 4 on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles, and gamers can also pre-order a Day Zero edition of the title in order to play it one day earlier and get access to double experience.
