Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is one of the biggest game launches of the fall season, and Major League Gaming announces that it plans to deliver the first open tournament for the shooter created by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision between November 28 and 30 in Columbus, Ohio.

All those who are interested can travel directly to the city in order to witness the action or they can head over to the official store of the organization in order to pick up both VIP and regular Passes.

The MLG says that 140 of the best players in the world will be present for the competition, and on November 28, 128 teams will start in an open bracket, while 12 others will start in pool play.

Sundance DiGiovanni, the chief executive officer of the organizers, states, “Call of Duty eSports has become a mainstream phenomenon– there’s nothing else like it. With the introduction of Advanced Warfare, we are positioned for continued growth showcasing the best players in the world on MLG’s premier platform for a global audience of passionate eSports fans. This is just the beginning.”

The event in Columbus, Ohio, will mark the start of an entire season of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare eSports play.

Big changes to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a big gamble for the eSports organization because the multiplayer element of the shooter is being changed in some radical ways by Sledgehammer Games.

The exo-skeleton tech will be used to allow gamers to reach new areas, dodge some incoming attacks and deliver powerful melee blows.

They can also choose from a variety of new skills to slot into their character in order to customize his play style and bring it closer to their preference.

The developers are saying that more customization options than ever will be included in the first-person shooter and that there are 12 entire modes to choose from, two of which will be entirely new, Uplink and Momentum.

Gamers have had mixed reactions to the exo-skeleton and there are playlists that will not involve the new tech in any way.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out on November 4 on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and last-gen consoles, and long-term fans can pick up a Day Zero Edition which will arrive 24 hours earlier and includes double the experience for the period.
