The development team at Sledgehammer Games has talked a lot about the exo-skeleton since the multiplayer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was first announced but it seems that gamers will have the option of abandoning the high-tech suit altogether in order to experience a more classic set of modes.

Michael Condrey, one of the co-founders of the studio, is quoted by MP1st as saying that he is eager to cater to long-term fans of the franchise by introducing a playlist which will eliminate any trace of the exo-skeleton and its associated abilities.

The game maker states, "we also understand that some players may want to go back to a more traditional style. So, there’ll be a traditional playlist where you can play Team Deathmatch, Domination, Capture the Flag, and others without Boost Jump, without your Exo. So, you and your friends who want to play that way, we’ll have a playlist just for you."

When the official reveal about multiplayer in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was made, the studio explained that the future setting of the future would allow them to introduce a range of new items, weapons and gameplay concepts.

In addition to the exo-skeleton, gamers can also get access to a special set of weapons that use beams in order to take out enemies and a range of devices that can give their characters limited cloaking and other powers.

It will be interesting to see what percentage of the player base decides to play the classic mode and drop all the new gadgets.

Those who choose to use the exo-skeleton and its attached items will be able to enjoy improved mobility, with a new jump move to reach platforms in levels with more vertical features, a dash to avoid incoming fire, and a slam that can take out other players on the ground.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will include no less than 12 game modes on launch, and there are customization options for both the character and its kill streaks.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to arrive on November 4 on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC.

Gamers who pre-order the shooter will get access to the special Day Zero edition and can start playing one day earlier and will get a 24-hour window during which they can get access to double experience.
