The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are starting to ramp up the promotional efforts for their upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and a new video for the title shows gamers how improved performance capture techniques have allowed the game to include better facial and skeleton animations.

They are used mainly in the cutscenes in order to make the entire experience more realistic and to make sure that actors, like Kevin Spacey, look as close as possible to how they do in the real world.

The new details about the technical elements of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are offered by games animation director Christopher Stone and art director Joe Salud, two of the core members of the team working on the shooter.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will introduce a range of futuristic tools for gamers to use, including an exo-skelton, a powerful armored hoverbike, and a rifle that can print its own ammunition based on battlefield conditions.

Sledgehammer Games has said that it wants to introduce innovation in both the single and the multiplayer modes of the first person shooter.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be launched on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and current-gen consoles on November 4 of this year.
