14 DAY TRIAL // Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare might be close to five months old, but the development team at Sledgehammer Games is continuing to add new content to the shooter even when it is not delivering new downloadable content packs for it.
The studio is announcing that a new update is set to arrive in March and to introduce an entirely new set of Master Prestige ranks for the title, which comes complete with a special gear set for all the gamers who unlock them and a total of 15 elite loot weapons.
The official announcement explains that "The all-new Master Prestige ranks and Grand Master Prestige character gear set give Max Prestige players the chance to continue to rank up and earn XP. When you enter Master Prestige your player XP is reset, challenge status remains the same, and challenges are not reset."
For each rank gained in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, gamers will get an elite loot weapon that can be used in multiplayer matches, and the gear set is only offered to those who get to Grand Master Prestige.
Sledgehammer Games states that they are using purple and gunmetal for the new character items to make sure that gamers who get them stand out on the battlefield.
An official launch date for the new content will probably be revealed in the coming week.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is also preparing for three more DLC packs
The new Master Prestige ranks are a solid addition for the most elite of players, who will be able to work to get the newly introduced rewards.
But for the rest of gamers, the most important elements for the future of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are the three DLC packs that are supposed to be delivered next.
Havoc is now out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and last-gen consoles and set to arrive on March 3 on the PC, and that means it is about time for Sledgehammer Games to reveal the content of the next big content drop.
Presumably, it will contain four new maps, one Exo Zombies story episode and some new weapons for the community to use and will arrive in either late March or early April on the Xbox One and the 360.
