Four big actors will be involved in the narrative

The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision might be one week away from the launch of the new Havoc downloadable content for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but the marketing campaign for it is already in full swing and at the moment it is focused on the Exo Zombies mode rather than the new multiplayer maps.

The official Twitter account of the series has changed its name and is currently telling a story that involves the four characters that are set to be part of the new narrative-driven mode.

The four in-game portraits for the main characters have been revealed, with a brief backstory attached to each of the roles gamers will be able to play.

Rose McGowan is an IT specialist, John Malkovich works in maintenance, Bill Paxton is linked to management, while Jon Bernthal works in security.

At the start of the Exo Zombies mode all of them will be locked down in a facility where they will have to battle waves of undead enemies, with some design elements for them also shown in the images released by the team at Sledgehammer Games.

It’s unclear how much story the four involved actors will have to work with, but we know from previous Call of Duty titles that the narrative will be spread across the four DLC packs which will be launched for Advanced Warfare.

Exo Zombies focuses on cooperative gameplay and asks the four involved players to mix and match their skills and abilities in order to reach their objectives.

Havoc is also introducing four new maps to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The first major content pack for the first-person shooter is also introducing four new major maps that can be used for all the versus multiplayer modes.

Core, Urban, Sideshow and Drift are designed to accommodate a variety of styles and to add some diversity to the core Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare experience.

Havoc will be introduced on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on January 27, and gamers on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 will probably get access to it about one month later.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games will launch three other pieces of DLC for their hit shooter during the year.
