FIFA 15 also delivers a solid performance

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is once again the leader of the United Kingdom video game chart, as the first-person shooter delivers a very solid comeback in order to defeat Grand Theft Auto V, the previous holder of the position.

The first-person shooter from developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision was previously in third place, but it seems that solid deals for it linked to the Black Friday shopping period have made it a winner once more.

The two companies have also delivered a big title update for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on all platforms, which introduces a number of fixes and gameplay changes that are designed to make the entire experience more enjoyable.

A rumor also suggests that those who have not yet picked up a copy of the game will be able to do so in the weeks before Christmas with a 20 dollar (15 Euro) price cut at a number of participating stores, with double experience offered as a further reward.

Second place in the United Kingdom, according to data from UKIE, is occupied by FIFA 15, the football simulation experience from EA Sports, which was more attractive to gamers because of the deals offered for it and because it makes a great gift in the run up to Christmas.

The last place on the podium for the week that ended on November 29 belongs to Grand Theft Auto V, which has managed to become relevant once more after it was launched on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, where it offers improved gameplay, better graphics and an all new first-person mode.

The rest of the best

Far Cry 4 has debuted in second place and has now managed to drop just two positions in order to land in fourth for the week and is followed by Assassin’s Creed Unity, another title from Ubisoft, which has sold well despite its many technical issues and has gained one place.

The Omega Ruby version of the new Pokemon remake is a new entry in sixth place, while the Alpha Sapphire companion title is in seventh.

DriveClub might be one of the 2014 launches with the most technical problems, but there are plenty of gamers who want to try out the Sony experience, which is offered only on the PlayStation 4, meaning that it lands in eighth place in the UK.

Ninth is occupied by the Black Flag Assassin Creed title launched last year, and the Xbox version of Minecraft closes down the United Kingdom chart.
