Gamers will not get any competitive advantage from its use

Video game publisher Activision announces that all those who are willing to place a preorder for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare at GAME in the United Kingdom or at GameStop in the United States will be able to get access to a special item for Destiny.

Players will be given a new and unique Blacksmith Armor Shader, a level 20 Legendary Item, which is designed to allow gamers to dye their characters' armor in some fetching shades of silver, brass and gray.

The item offers no gameplay advantage to a character but will serve as a way to recognize those who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

All those interested in the offer need to pick up the Sledgehammer Games-made first-person shooter before September 15 in the UK and September 21 in the US.

Destiny will be launched on September 9 on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be offered on November 4 on the same platforms and on the PC.

Activision is using the hype for both games to try and boost sales and will probably end up having two of the best-selling titles of the year when end of the year evaluations are published.
