Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games is planning to add the most new features ever seen in the Call of Duty series' multiplayer.

The video game development studio's co-founder Michael Condrey informed first-person shooter enthusiasts that the gadget that they'd seen in the gameplay demonstrations so far would be usable in-game but wouldn't be overpowered in multiplayer.

That means no air strikes and other such unfair kill streak bonuses, but the question still remains, with what we've seen in the demo, how Sledgehammer will manage to keep all the exciting futuristic gadgets balanced, or whether they plan to limit some of their use to the single-player campaign.

Fortunately, a recent interview with Condrey has revealed that the upcoming first-person shooter will feature the full array of weaponry, armor and gadgets seen in the reveals so far.

"We'll have our own style. The exoskeletons are definitely in there and that's the core of the game," he begins.

"Our multiplayer has what I'm going to call the biggest set of new, as you call it, cool gear that you've seen in a long time. It's a big step forward, from three years in development we've been able to innovate across the game. Everything you saw [at E3]… just imagine what that's going to mean for multiplayer. You're going to find that new is what it's all about," he tells Metro magazine.

Curious about the brand-new directed energy weapon, which is just a boring way to say "ima firin mah lazer?"

"It's weaponised energy, right? And there's lots of different forms, whether it's sound, heat, or light. And the navy just announced they have a working one sitting on a navy ship. It's a railgun that's using energy to fire chunks of metal at Mach 7, with a massive destructive force. And that's working today," he explains.

Sledgehammer Games revealed that they benefited from the guidance of numerous military experts, as well as futurologists, while developing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, stating that their goal was to offer a proper science fiction experience, based on reality and cold hard facts, rather than speculation.

Condrey also talked about the exo suit functions and the various pieces of technology seen during the E3 2014 demo, such as the fancy-pants cycled grenades and all the other juicy future tech that soldier would most likely get to play with 50 years from now.

"You can imagine that we want all these toys in multiplayer somehow. We'll have much more to share soon. But on the highest level, the Advanced soldier which our E3 demo showcased is the Advanced soldier you'll see in multiplayer," he told Forbes.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming out on November 4, for Sony's PlayStation 3 and Playstation 4 computer entertainment systems, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles, and Windows PC.
