14 DAY TRIAL // The promotional effort for the Havoc downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been focused on the Exo Zombies mode so far, but the development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are now ready for a new approach, which involves a more humorous take on the first-person shooter genre and its conventions.
The video is called Randall Higgins: Kill Cameraman and it uses significant resources to show how hard it would be for an actual human being to try and film the impressive kills that the community can generate in the title.
Rob Huebel, who is both a comedy actor and a writer and has starred in series like Parks and Recreation, The Mindy Project and Children’s Hospital, is featured in the video and he talks a lot about the Havoc DLC and its features.
It's an interesting way to promote the new content and the production values are clearly very high, but it will be interesting to see if the community is ready for a more humor-filled approach to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare promotion.
Havoc is coming with four new maps and one unique mode
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was launched in November of last year and quickly became the best-selling entertainment release of 2014.
Havoc is the first big DLC set to be launched for the shooter and will allow gamers to play multiplayer on four new maps, each of them with a unique killstreak and a variety of potential strategies.
Their names are: Core, Urban, Sideshow and Drift.
The community will also be able to play Exo Zombie, a cooperative focused mode which asks four players to work together in order to battle undead and escape from a facility.
The protagonists are played by John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan and Jon Bernthal.
Havoc for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out on January 27 on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360.
Platforms like the PlayStation 4, the PS3 and the PC will get access to it about one month later.
