Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are announcing that they are launching a new and small update for the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which sadly is not designed to introduce all the changes that were made on PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 earlier in the week.

The official Twitter account of the studio explains that it is only optimizing the user interface and making sure that player connections to the game are better in the long term.

At the moment, the bigger patch for the PS3 and the PlayStation 4 versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are still in the certification process at Sony and will probably be delivered next week.

The update is designed to introduce a wide range of weapon tweaks in order to improve balance and will also add the Grand Master ranks and the weapons associated with them.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is currently offering a new weapon on the Xbox One and the 360 for those who have the Season Pass, which is taken from the coming Ascendance downloadable content pack.

The entire content for the DLC package will probably be revealed in the coming days and an official launch might take place before the end of the month.
