The development team at Sledgehammer Games, publisher Activision and Major League Gaming are announcing that they are planning to deliver tickets for the finals of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Championship on February 17, allowing fans of the title to secure a place at the exciting event.

At the same time, the first-person shooter will get a special personalization pack to celebrate the big competition, which allows gamers to customize their own in-game avatar with a set of special items.

There are two packages offered for those who are looking to attend the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Championship.

Those who get the Platinum one will get the Ascendance DLC pack, a special 2015 Championship hoodie and more merchandise, a three day pass for the actual event, and access to VIP seating.

The Gold package will deliver the same content minus the hoodie and will only introduce general admission seating.

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare finals will take place in Los Angeles, California, in late March and will include a prize pool of 1 million dollars (840,000 Euro).

All players, regardless of whether they are professionals or not, can take part as long as they qualify through online competitions.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains relevant more than three months after launch

The 2015 Championship is one way for publisher Activision to keep Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare relevant in the long term.

Meanwhile, Sledgehammer Games is continuing to work on the remaining three downloadable content packs, which will be first offered on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360.

The first of them, called Havoc, is set to be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 on February 26.

It introduces four new major maps for multiplayer and the Exo Zombies mode, and DLC that will arrive in the future will have similar contents, although some surprises might be introduced by the studio.

During the coming weekend, the player community will be able to play the Gun Game mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the first time and will get access to double experience if they choose it.
