Sledgehammer Games has released a pretty impressive HD screenshot, offering the first good look at the exoskeletal armor featured in the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

The armor is one of the most important changes in the game, said to completely alter the way multiplayer matches are played. Although the development team assured fans of competitive first-person shooters that everything would be balanced, and the suit's futuristic abilities would not be overpowered when used in multiplayer matches, that doesn't mean that it won't still be exciting to make use of the various gadgets afforded by the fact that the action takes place in the year 2054.

The new 1080p screenshot revealed by the devs offers the most detailed look at the exo armor that will allow players to perform various cool moves such as double jumps and sideways dodges, bringing the overall dynamic of the next Call of Duty game somewhat closer to the craziness of Titanfall.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be present at this year's edition of Gamescom in Germany, allowing people attending the show to get hands-on experience with the way its multiplayer works, including the many uses that the exoskeleton has.

The game is scheduled to come out on November 4, 2014, for the Windows PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
