Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the video game which tops the United Kingdom video game sales chart at the end of January, once again managing to boost its numbers by delivering a new downlodable content pack.

Havoc was introduced on January 27 on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, and gamers who buy it will be able to enjoy four new multiplayer-focused maps and a new weapon.

The new Exo Zombies mode is also introduced, allowing players to get one of four roles and work with others in order to try and escape a facility which is overrun by undead enemies.

Gamers who play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PlayStation 4, the PS3 or the PC will be able to get access to the same content at some point during February.

Grand Theft Auto V, the open world title from Rockstar, has slipped one position from first to second place, showing that the improved Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of the experience still attracts players.

The game will arrive on the PC in March.

FIFA 15, the football simulation from EA Sports, stays put in the last place on the podium, according to UKIE data, as EA Sports is at the moment adding all the transfers that took place during the January window in order to make sure that the teams are as accurate as possible.

The best of the rest

A 2015 launch, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and Gat of Out Hell has managed to stay in fourth, where it arrived during the previous seven-day period.

The Xbox edition of Minecraft has jumped up two positions and is now in fifth, which is a great performance given the indie nature of the experience, and is followed by Far Cry 4, which also managed to stay in its old position.

Call of Duty: Ghosts might have been delivered in 2013, but the shooter can still perform well when offered for a lower price, which means that it takes seventh for the week that ended on January 31.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity is in eighth place, with the recent patches managing to solve most of its launch problems, followed by the PlayStation version of Minecraft.

Destiny is the video game which closes down the United Kingdom top ten.
