Gamers will have to work together to take him out

Next week, the focus for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare fans will be the launch of the new Ascendance downloadable content pack, and it seems that the team working on it has at least one big surprise for gamers, a mini-boss for Exo Zombies that will challenge their ability to work as a team.

Matt Tieger, who is the leader of the High Moon studio, says that gamers might be more experienced when it comes to cooperation, but the undead have also evolved since the first pack was launched and will pose a bigger threat.

The gameplay of Exo Zombies has been refined for Ascendance and a mini-boss is now present, appearing in the tenth wave and bringing a riot shield and hammer to the battlefield, a combination that will force players to adapt.

Tieger states, "In Exo Zombies often players split apart and take the threats between the four of them. If you do that with this guy you’re going to have a hard time. He’s really a 4 vs 1 strategy. It requires focused fire."

There are three new enemy types to take out in Ascendance for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and the way map regions are accessed has also changed, with some of them becoming toxic in order to force teams to engage in areas that will make it harder for them to defend efficiently.

Exo Zombies will have another two chapters coming in the future

The development team wants to make sure that gamers always have a new challenge to deal with and civilians are now also part of the mix.

In order to make sure that gameplay is balanced in Exo Zombies for Ascendance, a new free weapon upgrade is also introduced.

The new DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to be offered on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on March 31.

Gamers who play the shooter on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 will get it later in April.

Sledgehammer Games and High Moon studios will continue to monitor the game and listen to player feedback in order to make sure that the experience is balanced when it comes to weapons and unlocks.

Two more major DLC packs are set to be offered for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Treyarch is already working on a new title, which will probably be called Black Ops 3.
