Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision have already launched the new Ascendance downloadable content for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare earlier in the day, and the two companies are now ready to also offer more information on the major changes that the associated update brings to the shooter.

The patch is now live on both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, and gamers who are playing the same title on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 will be able to get access to it and the new content later in April.

The entire list of changes that the Ascendance-associated update is making to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

A number of rare crashes have been eliminated and the developers have also fixed bugs that the community has encountered in the past few weeks on the Xbox One.

When it comes to weapon balance, Sledgehammer Games has also worked on the weapons, the modes and the maps in order to improve the overall multiplayer experience for the title.

The changes for the Xbox 360 are only slightly different from those made on the newer Microsoft Home console.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has two more DLCs coming in the next few months

The Ascendance content is designed to introduce four new maps for multiplayer, each of them with a unique killstreak and a design suited for different types of engagements.

There's also a new Infection episode for the Exo Zombies cooperative mode, which tasks the players with defending a new location and introduces a powerful mini-boss, while also adding a weapon attachment.

More changes might be made based on the reaction of the player base to the newly introduced content.

Sledgehammer Games and Activision are aiming to deliver two more downloadable content packs for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in the coming months, probably in late May and early July on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360.

Treyarch is at the moment working on a new title in the series, which is set to be released in the fall and will probably be named Black Ops 3, according to an official Twitter message that was later deleted.
