14 DAY TRIAL // Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has finally received its Ascendance expansion on the PC, PS4, and PS3 platforms all around the world, allowing owners of the first-person shooter on these devices to experience the fresh competitive multiplayer maps and the new Exo Zombies experience.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched back in November of last year, and developer Sledgehammer Games has since released quite a lot of different updates to keep the game as balanced as possible, while eliminating various exploits, errors, and issues.
The game has since also received various DLC customization packs, not to mention its first major expansion called Havoc, which appeared at the end of winter across most platforms.
The second big add-on, Ascendance, is now live on PC, PS4, and PS3
After rolling out the Ascendance DLC for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms at the end of March, developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision have just released it for Advanced Warfare owners on PC, PS4, and PS3, according to the official blog.
The major add-on brings quite a lot of new things for fans to enjoy, starting with four competitive multiplayer maps that add some interesting themes to the online mode. Perplex features a colorful futuristic apartment complex, while Site 244 sees an alien ship crash-land near Mount Rushmore. Climate brings a circular layout, while Chop Shop features different buildings filled with opportunities for close quarters combat.
Those fond of cooperative experiences can get with the Ascendance DLC a new episode for the Exo Zombies cooperative mode, called Infestation, which reimagines the Burgertown map and turns it into a big Atlas Corporation facility that's crawling with the undead.
Last but not least, the add-on also includes the OHM directed energy hybrid weapon that can transform from a shotgun into a light machine gun for various situations. The Exo Grapple ability is also exclusive to owners of the DLC, as a special playlist is now live in the multiplayer mode with this feature enabled.
