After having shared some details and images with one part of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Ascendance DLC pack, developer Sledgehammer and publisher Activision have just revealed a fantastic gameplay video filled with sequences from the new add-on.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has already received quite a few fresh content items ever since its debut in November of last year, but only one proper map pack has appeared so far, in the form of the Havoc one.

The second major expansion arrives next week, on March 31 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, in the form of the Ascendance add-on.

The first gameplay video brings great footage

In order to properly showcase the impressive map pack, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have just presented a fresh gameplay video that goes through each of the new elements that are included within it.

First up, there are the four competitive multiplayer maps, in the form of Site 244, which features an alien crash landing near Mount Rushmore, Climate. This brings some intense modifications during a round, Perplex, which shows off some convoluted futuristic condos, and Chop Shop, which is filled with twists and turns.

Lots of other things are also included

Besides the four competitive maps, the Ascendance add-on also has a new scenario for the Exo Zombies experience, in the form of Infection, which transforms the Modern Warfare 2 classic map Burgertown into fodder for the undead. From new enemies to intense new adventures for the four main protagonists, Infection is looking quite good.

Besides the aforementioned levels, Ascendance also brings forth a new weapon called the OHM Werewolf, which can transform from a light-machine gun useful to mow down enemies into a shotgun, which is great for close quarters.

Last but not least, those who get the add-on are also receiving the Grapple mode that allows players to use the special grapple attachment to their exo suit in order to quickly move around the new maps and even kill unsuspecting foes.
