Call of Duty 3 Hints and Glitches (PS2)

Call of Duty 3 is a video game developed by Treyarch and released by Activision Publishing. It was created for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, the Xbox 360 and the Xbox from Microsoft and for the Nintendo Wii. The title was launched in 2006. It is classed as a war shooter played from a third person perspective with sequences in first person view. There is a strong historical aspect evident in the game, with several real world battles simulated.

The Call of Duty series was initially released on the PC and the way it managed to capture the feel of war while delivering competent first person shooter gameplay impressed critics and gamers. The series was a success and console versions were quickly planned. Call of Duty 3 is one of the Call of Duty titles released on gaming consoles.

The game is built around the story of Operation Cobra in Normandy, France, and a World War II operation which United States Army General Omar Bradley planned to break out from the French area after the D-Day landings. You play as the four allied sides with American, Canadian, British and Polish soldiers taking part in 14 chronological single player missions until the liberation of Paris. You have to play through each section of the game in succession, as a new mission is unlocked only once you complete the one before it. The game is heavily scripted, with some of the larger operations depicted in minute details and with the player often being relegated to a minor role on the battlefield as the great clash happens all around him. The production values of the title are very high, with great music and brilliant voice acting.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Move friendlies

In order to move your friendlies, use ADS and aim at them. Then, press fire. Do not worry, as you cannot shoot at a friendly. Your friendly should move from his location. This is useful when you are trying to enter an area blocked by a friendly.

GLITCHES

Mayenne: Invisible mine

In a war in Mayenne in multi-player mode, play as an Axis light assault soldier. You should be in the park near the fountain. Walk towards the cement building. Lay a mine on top of the steps. No one will be able to see it, including your teammates. However it still goes off if somebody steps on it.

Poison: Get on building

In a team battle in Poison in multi-player mode, drive a tank to the graveyard towards the flat-roofed building. Squeeze against it as close as you can and press Square to jump out. You should be on top of the building.
