A brand new report has appeared online concerning this year's Call of Duty title, revealing that it's called Call of Duty: Patriots and that it takes place in World War 1 but has different other fantasy elements.

The Call of Duty series is set to receive a brand new iteration this year coming from developer Sledgehammer Games, in the form of the first title made exclusively by the studio.

Now, after hearing that a reveal for the game is coming this month, a fresh report has appeared via BubbleNews about the new title, which is apparently named Call of Duty: Patriots.

The game was codenamed Blacksmith, after the name of the main character, Smith Black. The title is the first in a trilogy and takes place during World War 1.

However, besides this old setting, there are quite a few fantasy elements, such as alternate realities, that allow characters from other games in the franchise to make an appearance.

The story campaign takes around 6 hours, but there will be sub-campaigns, apparently. The multiplayer mode contains regular game types and the story can be played cooperatively.

The game is set to debut on November 14 but only for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Until Activision confirms anything, take this rumor with a huge grain of salt.
